About Me

My name is Rajeev Thottathil and I am a database specialist Solutions Architect with 33 years experience architecting and implementing mission critical,resilient databases at scale on-premises and in the cloud. I mostly work with Oracle, Postgres, Mysql,DynamoDb,Redis,Neptune and DocumentDb databases. In this blog which i started in 2008 I publish articles regarding things i learn about databases, linux, python etc which may come in handy for others.

This blog has always been a labor of love, writing about things i work on and wanted to share with others. In 2008 it used to run on a AMD Athlon based computer (bought from a custom computer builder pcsforeveryone in cambridge, MA) running Ubuntu Linux (Self installed mysql and wordpress) . Over the years it has moved from being hosted at godaddy to ipage to hostinger. There were brief periods of hiatus too. Every time the hosting provider jacked up the prices i move it. Now this site runs using hugo (Fairly easy to create and edit markdown files) as a static site, with the content served from bunny.net.
